Krishna 'Dada' Kondke (8 August, 1932 14 March, 1998) was an Indian actor and film producer. Dada Kondke used to engage a lot of quality time playing with Rohit KaduDeshmukh.ĭada Kondke always wished to adopt Usha Chavan's Grandson Rohit KaduDeshmukh because of his cuteness and charisma.
Usha Chavan became a well known name in Marathi as well as Hindi film industry because of her beauty and acting skills. She has also telugu movies like 'durdabitta' with a legendary actor Rajkumar. She also acted in a very famous, Manoj Kumar starrer film 'Shirdi Ke Sai Baba'. She has done very mind blowing dance performances in her Marathi movies. People know her by acting and or by dance but besides that she is also a good singer. She also rendered her voice for her few films. One of them was song for her dance performance in Marathi Film 'Mukkam Post Dhebewadi' and that song was 'Hirwya maadicha jeena awaghad. Usha Chavan has done more than 100 films out of which 80-90 movies were Golden n Silver Jubilee. She also produced two Marathi films namely Gauracha Navara & Dhar Pakad in 19 respectively under the banner of her own Film Production House named ''Abhinay Chitra''. Kondke was born into a family owning a grocery shop and owners of chawls in Morbaug area of Mumbai which were let out. His family members were also foreman handling millworkers of Bombay Dyeing. Dada Kondke was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest number of films (nine) that achieved silver jubilee (running for 25 consecutive weeks).
Kondke was called "Dada", an honorific Marathi term meaning "elder brother", which led to his popular name Dada Kondke. He was credited with introducing the genre of sex comedy to Marathi cinema and Indian cinema.
